Walking School Bus

Up one level
The Walking School Bus is operated by the YWCA with support from TravelSmart, ACT Health, the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts and the Australian Federal Police provide in-kind support. Trinity Christian School endorses this program through one of our parents in conjunction with the YWCA. Children in the Junior Section are invited to participate in the Walking School Bus program for their own well-being in health and fitness levels, the environment, sustainable transport, and road safety education. Volunteers are from within the children's family and need to be over 21 years of age. The YWCA Canberra provides police checks and public liability insurance cover for volunteers.

Please find:
1. Walking to School Bus Information Letter and Questionnaire from YWCA giving full details about the program;
2. Student Consent Form.

If you are interested in your child/dren participating, please fill in the Questionnaire and Student Consent Form and return to Mrs Ruth Oldfield care of the School Office. The current TCS "bus" route leaves from Wanniassa at 8.30am every Tuesday.
