Positions Available

Learning Support Assistant – Junior School

Position to commence on Monday, 20 July start ( Term 3).
Hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:50 with a possible meeting every fortnight – meeting is not compulsory.

Are you?

• A committed Christian & regular church attendee.
• Good understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and philosophy of the School.
• Ability to show interest in the welfare of students as well as their social, spiritual and academic development.
• Ability to support the learning of students as directed by the teacher.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Well-developed organisational skills.
• Sufficient skill in computer literacy to assist student learning.
• First Aid Certificate is desirable.
• Working With Vulnerable People card is essential.
• Experience with working with students with disabilities.

Apprentice – Information Technology

The successful candidate will work as part of our IT team and will be supervised by our IT Support Officer. This small team is responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of the school computer network and staff and student devices. It is a very busy environment. All staff are required to work in a manner that is God honouring and consistent with the school’s vision to provide a Christ-centred education in a learning community of Love, Nurture and Service.

This position would suit a school leaver with no experience and a desire to learn, or someone with limited work experience.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will attend CIT 1 day per week and upon successful completion of their studies and apprenticeship will graduate with a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology.

• Have a good understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and philosophy of the School.
• Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be able to use a computer with competence.
• Work well as a team member.
• Be willing to learn and accept constructive criticism.
• Have a strong work ethic.
• Demonstrate a high standard of personal integrity, reliability and honesty.
• Be able to problem solve, demonstrating common sense.
• Display a calm and Godly approach in all situations.

Home Economics and Textiles Teacher – Yrs 7-12

This is a temporary P/T (approx. 0.5 FTE) position for Term 4, 2015.
VET qualifications will be an advantage.
