Please pray for our team... 11 Days to go!

The Uganda Mission Team will be leaving on Wednesday 2 July and will be away till 17 July. Wondering what they will be getting up to in Africa?

Please pray for the team as they travel to Africa. May it be a life changing experience for them, as well as the people with whom they will meet and interact with. If you would like to make a donation of money to the team they would be most grateful, as they will be purchasing supplies, in Uganda, to bless the schools and the communities.

During the 10 days in Uganda they will visit:

  • Lweza Training and Conference Centre in Kampala
  • Watoto orphanages located near Kampala
  • Baby Watoto
  • Watoto Suubi
  • Watoto Bbira.

(You can see what they are all about at their website or you can take advantage of the opportunity to see the Watoto choir when they perform live on on Sunday 29 June at C3, Monash at 10am and at Capital Edge, Erindale at 6pm.)

  • Visiting schools in the Kateera district:
  • Kateera High School
  • Lwamata High School
  • Busunju Primary School
  • Bbambula Christian Vocational School
  • Kizigo Primary School
  • Emanekali Christian School.

While at the schools they will be involved in teaching, high school integration, cultural exchanges, painting and building projects.

On return to Australia the team will pass through South Africa and will have the opportunity to experience the history, culture and of course the incredible wild animals the country has to offer. The team will have the opportunity to:

  • Go on a walking tour in Soweto and see where Nelson Mandela’s first house was.
  • A visit to the Apartheid Museum.
  • Enjoy a guided safari at the Pilanesberg National Park.
  • Shop at the Chameleon Village (African craft and curio market).
  • Appreciate magnificent wild animals at the Lion and Rhino Park.
