Year 12 Outdoor Education trip

Year 12 Outdoor Education students spent a day white water rafting at Penrith recently.

Team work and team building were the big winners of the day, with students encouraging each other, looking out for each other and enjoying spending time together outside of the class room.

After a safety briefing, it was time to hit the water. The first rapid was met with lots of screams and laughter followed by a big splash. A few laps of the course saw the adrenaline settle a bit and then it was time to pump it up again by heading out on the course backwards, sidewards and a quick shot at surfing (shooting the rapids without paddles). Many students got wet in a “Look mum, no hands” competition with Mr Mitchell. Devan won. Students are now looking forward to their canoeing camp in Week 8.

Children and their families can build relationships and friendships that carry you through your schooling years and be long lasting.
