Receives generous donations
Thank you for the generous donation from Capital Chemist Charnwood and Wanniassa.
With the money they donated to the Junior School Earth Club we have purchased a large Veggie Patch and have filled it with premium veggie mix soil.
This Term Trinity Junior School has started using Purple Bins to collect once living things (fruit and food scraps) to convert into compost.
The small purple bins are available in the Junior School at recess and lunch, each day. They are then collected and emptied into our large Envirolove purple bin by Earth Club volunteers.
The Junior School Earth Club is learning about and campaigning within the Junior School to help students, staff and all visitors to the school to be aware of the waste that they are making. We are looking at how we can minimise our contribution to landfill and how we can recycle our organic waste in worm farms and compost.
